he metrosexual ambiance at Catch is perfect, as long as you dig paradoxically historic, anti-contemporary contemporary spots. An oyster bar that features a private "white wine" dining room, Catch is ensconced by a formidable cellaring system. The rotating cuisine rapturously employs local ingredients, as well as fresh (almost flopping fresh) fish and oysters, flow in daily (i.e. not from the Bow). Better than a cold, better than a white whale, Catch is one of the best, um, catches (sorry) in town.

1 Reader Reviews | I come to Calgary at least once a year to go specifically to this restaurant. Have been there 3 times and loved each time. 2 times it was team event 13+ people or more, the third time for an intimate dinner. This place is very good, somehow the ambiance is great for large groups or couples. Wine list is great, it is a little pricey but the experience is worth it. It seemed to me that the wait staff had an adequate knowledge of the wine and I've enjoyed all that was recommended on each visit. Recommend "The Tower of Power" at least once (great to share with lot's of people who trying ray oysters for the first time.) I should follow up by saying I've only been to the Oyster Bar, I took a sneak peak at the upstairs and it is gorgeous, but I think a little out of my league, I think this is where the real big bucks are spent. Give it try, I think you'll like it.
