The metrosexual ambiance at Catch is perfect, as long as you dig paradoxically historic, anti-contemporary contemporary spots. An oyster bar that features a private "white wine" dining room, Catch is ensconced by a formidable cellaring system. The rotating cuisine rapturously employs local ingredients, as well as fresh (almost flopping fresh) fish and oysters, flow in daily (i.e. not from the Bow). Better than a cold, better than a white whale, Catch is one of the best, um, catches (sorry) in town.

We have been Catchfans for years. Although on this visit we were a little dissappointed. It was too much food and quite expensive. Also, everything was too sweet. The sauce on the chicken was sweet, the fried seaweed had sugar on it, the lobster sauce was too sweet and the sweet and sour chicken was so sweet it was not edible. All the waiters have a great attitude and it is a great place for people watching.

My dining experience here never disappoints me. This is the place I go for any special occasion and I have never regretted my decision. Great care on the details. The staff is friendly and the food exceptional.

I don't understand what's the buzz about this place, our food was uninspiring, the music was loud and annoying, the service was below average - though the final bill was big bucks, couldn't be bothered with a retry.

I come to Calgary at least once a year to go specifically to this restaurant. Have been there 3 times and loved each time. 2 times it was team event 13+ people or more, the third time for an intimate dinner. This place is very good, somehow the ambiance is great for large groups or couples. Wine list is great, it is a little pricey but the experience is worth it. It seemed to me that the wait staff had an adequate knowledge of the wine and I've enjoyed all that was recommended on each visit. Recommend "The Tower of Power" at least once (great to share with lot's of people who trying ray oysters for the first time.) I should follow up by saying I've only been to the Oyster Bar, I took a sneak peak at the upstairs and it is gorgeous, but I think a little out of my league, I think this is where the real big bucks are spent. Give it try, I think you'll like it.
