7 Reader Reviews | How 'bout an honest review? The food is always decent for the price. You wont impress anyone if this is your choice of a restaurant but you will be assured quick service, usually immediate seating and a decent meal, fair value for your dollar.
There's the occasional hot waitress and occasional server mishap at every restaurant, that shouldn't be what these reviews are about.

I went on a whim after walking by with a friend over lunch, our server was really sweet and accomodating, i wanted the scallop salad..withour scallops haha, so she offered putting in anything else i wanted, i just said whatever other veggies they have for the others salads, they reduced the price significantly since there was no meat, we didnt wait long at all for our food, it was easy to get a table, and the food was great, i'm defs going back! I guess reviews like the ones above is why we got a table so quickly, and so much attention from our server.

My friend and I tried this place for lunch today. I made a reservation, although the place was nearly empty when we arrived at 11:30.
I ordered the beef dip with no onions, and my friend ordered the grilled salmon. She didn't have any issues with her food, but my beef dip showed up with onions. Unfortunatly, the waitress had come by to check if everything was ok while I was munching my way through my fries, and before I'd gotten to the sandwich. Then she didn't come back again, even to refill our drinks, until we were almost done eating. That was kind of ok, because the ice tea was so watery I probably would have just asked for a glass of water anyway...
We asked for seperate bills and she got all huffy and said they didn't normally do that, but she guessed that because it wasn't too busy she could. Then she put my drink on my friend's bill...at it was THREE bucks for a little glass of ice tea that wasn't even refilled!
She didn't come back to take our plastic, so we eventually snagged her and she looked at us like we were crazy and said we had to pay up front. Finally after wandering around aimlessly we found out we were actually supposed to pay at the bar, but there wasn't anyone there to take our payment...
It was an exasperating experience - the fries were really good, but I wouldn't go there again.

I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad. The tuna was NOT fresh at all and I had less than a handful of salad. Would never return nor recommend to anyone.

While eating lunch at the Black Cat I had the pleasure of Italian dressing spilt all over my clothes and jacket by the waitress. She dropped the plate after getting bumped by someone siting at the bar.
They were sorry and replaced my plate of food that had glass in it and I did not have to pay for my dish. Wow, we still had to pay for the rest of the meal. They did not even offer us a free drink! No manager ever came over to ask if there was anything else they could do. They did not offer to pay the dry cleaning of my jacket or shirt. In fact I had to ask the waitress to take the cloth off the table that I used to wipe off the salad dressing.
I am so happy spending the rest of the day smelling like Italian dressing.

The hostess was extremly HOT although we sat from 8:30 -10:00 and never did get our breakfast. I would definatley go back to have a conversation with the hostess but not to eat.
