My wife (who is a professional cook)and I (a waiter of ten years) have one vice, and that is well prepared great tasting food. We've ate at some of the finest establishments in western canada but the ambience food and service we were so fortunate to encounter were second to none. The Salmon Gravlax salad and Chateauxbriand for two with giant prawns were fantastic. With no less than 7 types of beautifully prepared vegetables and three sauce accompanying our perfectly cooked tenderloin which was personally carved by a smiling Chef Alaa in front of our fireside table. For dessert my wife had an amazing apricot creme brulee while i had the smoothest and cooly rich chocolate parfait imaginable. it included a cookie large enough for dipping to eat practically the whole thing. The meal while hearty, was also quite health concious with a considerable amount of deliciously prepared fresh organic fruits and vegetables to accompany each course. Our food came in a timely manner and the service was not stuffy as expected but professional, courteous and kind from our interaction with the hostess and waiter. The martinis were impeccable as well, served with fresh raspberries. Thanks for everything Bears Den, it was a pleasure and a relief knowing fine Canadian Cuisine doesnt require us taking a holiday to Banff, Victoria or Sooke but just a ten minute drive up Crowchild and a most satisfying glance to the left at Bearspaw Road. We will be back and strongly encourage others whom havent yet had the pleasure to do the same. You wont be dissapointed! Constantin and Melissa
