Without barley there would be no beer hence the aptly named pub stores a selection of 25 beers on tap in homage to the bubbly brown drink. Over a hundred years in existence, the Mill has been transformed into a social outlet with a spectacular rooftop patio constructed from salvaged lumber from the original Alberta distillery (when it rains really hard you can almost smell the wood’s liquor infused aromas). The classy joint has been home to many a sports celebration with teams heading to the patio for a post-game libation and celebration or friends commiserating on the patio after a poor Flames performance. Regardless, this is an excellent venue to hang with buds for a Bud and bask in the sun but if you get too toasted (both in the sun burnt and alcohol induced forms of physical ailments) the stairs is a long way down to the ground floor.

1 Reader Reviews | So this was fun: on a Sunday a while ago we tried out the Flea Street Cafe and found a table outside in the sun. After 10 minutes of waiting for a waiter to show up, I went inside and found one, and gave a drink order. Another 10 minutes passed before the waiter dropped off the drinks... and then another 10 minutes passed without a sign of further service, so I went inside to tell them we were leaving due to their complete lack of interest in serving their patrons. We paid for the drinks and left. We will NEVER go back there again.
