It is an awesome restaurant there. I work here as a cook and let me tell you, when I first started here, I was amazed at how fresh the food is. The fish is flown fresh, weekly from vancouver, not frozen, but fresh, on ice. We are constantly throwing away food that is not fresh or not consistent with the other food.
A lot of people that work here are fired and resigned people from Joeys and Earls.
Amazing service and food, but take my word for it, dont work here. Split shifts and full-time only if you're a kitchen coach or higher up. Sucks lol.

I went just last Friday, and our experience was amazing. 2 managers came to make sure we were enjoying our experience and food; it was the most unique menu I've seen in a long time, the prices are more than fair, and the lime margaritas were pretty awesome. Most places have no clue how to make a good margarita. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. I think I’m even going back tomorrow night!

I went to the Flatiron before reading any of these reviews and was shocked that people are rating it as a 1 star. The food that we had was unique and it was nice to have something out of the ordinary for a change. I was quite impresses with the pricing as well. Their cocktails were amazing and it has a very funky atmosphere unlike a lot of the restaurants in this town.

Not happy with the service or food and I've had lunch there a few times. Greasy uncooked bacon chunks in the salad; Mains were just okay; waiter never offered us any specials; we were never offered pepper or asked how everything was; the wine has cork in it.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation. Even though it was raining the restaurant was not able to offer us any accommodation to sit down and wait until their service began. Food was mediocre. Ambiance was nil.

This place still has a chic vibe and had excellent food. The service was also top notch especially during what was a frenetic night.

Can I give less than one star? I am in shock at the review this clearly starved woman writes. Flatiron is a joke copy not worthy a spot above Moxie's. Filled with tired/fired ex-Earl's Joeys people has perpetuated them into a soon to be casual dining graveyard. The food is one dimensional and slopped together. Don't waste your time

Flatiron is quite a good restaurant I would strongly recommend it. After reading some of the reviews I must say people are a little harsh. The place is comfortable and the food is fantastic. I would advise people to try Flat Iron for themselves and make there own judgments because I personally think it is a wonderful place to have dinner.

I wasn't impressed. Sure, it has the post-work crowd, but the majority of the place is barren. I felt like something was missing. I suppose this is good for people to go after work, but for dining, there are better places to go.

I love the design of this place. It's a great place to meet for drinks and appetizers and drinks and the service is always good.
It's always just "good" though, never phenomenal or memorable. Which is why I say it's a great place to meet friends, not a great special occassion place or date place

All I have to say about this place is Wow. I ordered the prawns which were marinated right to perfection. This place won't ever disappoint you if your looking for good urban fare. I would probably order the meat dishes next time hoping it would have more meat which I'm craving for.
