he brand new Stampede Casino is not only clad with money-hungry players, but actual hungry ones too. Stampede is a suiting name for the Calgary locale since that is also the name of the city's most famous events. One of their also brand-new restaurants is called 1912, which was the year of the first stampede. The lounge bar-cum-restaurant offers a classy, elegant bistro atmosphere for both frivolous gamblers and strategic poke players who had a good day to take a moment to soak in the glory of their winnings by indulging on one of 1912's three steaks, five salads, six appetizers or various burgers, from regular beef in a bun to halibut or prime rib, surrounded by warm, mustard walls, dark brown wood furnishings surrounding the marble-top u-shaped bar and landscape paintings on the wall. There's no better way to celebrate your luck in the cards than by putting good food in your stomach. – M.K.

1 Reader Reviews | The seafood buffet is a good price for what oyu get...and not too bad tasting. I felt the service was less than friendly and no one wanted to be there. I had also noticed that there was several errors on my tab for my dirnks. I later discovered (from friends) that the bartenders were skimming the drinks. Charging for doubles prices (or premium) while only serving regulars. Something to keep an eye out for. The interior was nice, but still basic. For my first visit, I wasn't impressed. Although the seafood buffet is a good price, I still will never order a drink there agian. "
