    Hotel QT, a style-savvy budget hotel, has the amenities of a $300-a-night boutique hotel but with a price range close to a hostel with closet-sized rooms starting at just a little over $100. They have options for bunk beds to cozy up with your friends and you need not forcibly stay with smelly tourista-backpackers from other parts of the world. You can keep your room private and friends-only.

    The highpoint is the heated 22-foot lobby swimming pool with a live DJ on certain times. Overlooking the pool are the sauna and steamrooms that are open 24 hours a day.

    A queen sized small room runs $425, while a king bed in a large room overlooking Times Square goes for $500. Add on a room with a bunk bed above the king for only $25, and you can stuff one extra person into this room.

    QT is far for university students who’d much rather spend their Starbucks money on East Village shopping or a dinner at Balthazars.
