otelier and entrepreneur Ian Schrager, best known for hotels’ metamorphosis, pretty much invented the concept boutique hotels and Gramercy Park Hotel is no exception.
Artist and filmmaker Julian Schnabel was appointed as the hotel’s art director where he raises the bar of style and design. His suites are artfully styled, and bold colors execute the opulent Bohemian décor as if gracing the covers of top fashion magazines.
Gramercy Park Hotel has been home to Conde Nast’s (home of Vogue and Vanity Fair) famous parties and numerous New York Fashion Week parties. Each room also boasts customized imported 400-thread count Italian linens and curated collection of photographs, some that Schnabel had taken himself.
Fancy, schmancy rooms start at $400 and up.
