 It’s called the Hotel, as if it’s the only one in South Beach. Off the top of my head I could think of at least 4 other hotels just on Collins Avenue. Like the rest, The Hotel is a converted 1930s Art Deco building, it’s close to the beach, and has a pool.
What sets it apart, though, is its interior, designed by former fashion designer Todd Oldham, who has been quite successful at giving the hotel a high-fashion look and feel. Each room has custom-crafted furniture, luxurious beds, and strangely enough, tie-dyed robes. I guess if you’re going to have a hotel in South Beach, you’ve got to set yourself apart somehow.
