 It’s surprising there’s any beach left with all the hotels concentrated in the Art Deco District of South Beach. With so much choice these hotels have to do something to stand apart. The specialty of South Beach Plaza is customer service. The maids can clean around your schedule, you can check-in and out morning or evening, and the concierge will help you as best he can, from recommending you a romantic restaurant nearby to printing you out an itinerary.
If it’s architecture that gets you going, you’ll be happy to know that this is considered a very important Art Deco structure in South Beach, and is federally protected by the Historical Preservation Society. In fact, many of the items from the original version of the hotel in the 30s have been preserved, including the original lobby staircase, front desk, and elevator. Oh, and did I mention it’s near the beach?
