  he Hardware Civil War has raged for over a century. The British and French have nothing on Robertson and Phillips. Does it matter what type of head a screwdriver has? Damn right. I dated a girl that would only use square heads (i.e. the Robertson); it didn't last very long; I'm a Phillips (i.e. the cross, or plus head) man.
Montreal's Le Square Phillips Hotel & Suites altruistically tries to end the infighting by bringing together the square and the cross, if only in name, for this four star hotel. With a more central-than-John Kerry (is that dated?) location, an indoor roof-top pool, babysitting services, free newspapers (what? that's nice), and myriad other amenities, we can finally get our minds off of tool battles. -S.T.
